Lemon Iced Tea
Prep time: 15 minutes
Yield: 10 to 12 portions
Cool time: 2 hours
INGREDIENTS
- 2 l water
- 3 bags Orange Pekoe tea
- 1/2 cup lemon juice (about 3 to 4 lemons)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
TIPS
- If you don’t want pulp:
- use store-bought bottled lemon juice; or
- strain freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
STEPS
- Boil water.
- In a juice container that is at least 2 l, place tea bags and pour boiling water over it until container is almost full. Leave room for lemon juice and sugar.
- Steep tea for 15 minutes.
- Remove tea bags.
- Add sugar and lemon juice and stir to dissolve sugar.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Serve over ice and add lemon slice for garnish.
