Lemon Iced Tea

Prep time: 15 minutes

Yield: 10 to 12 portions

Cool time: 2 hours
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 l water
  • 3 bags Orange Pekoe tea
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (about 3 to 4 lemons)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
TIPS
  • If you don’t want pulp:
    • use store-bought bottled lemon juice; or
    • strain freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
STEPS
  1. Boil water.
  2.  In a juice container that is at least 2 l, place tea bags and pour boiling water over it until container is almost full. Leave room for lemon juice and sugar.
  3. Steep tea for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags.
  5. Add sugar and lemon juice and stir to dissolve sugar.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  7. Serve over ice and add lemon slice for garnish.
