Spicy honey glazed carrots

Yield: 2 to 4 portions

Cook time: 20 to 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 to 8 medium carrots (2 carrots per person)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon piment d’Espelette or spicy smoked paprika
  • Sea salt to taste 
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
TIPS and thoughts
  • Using new carrots? Don’t peel them. Just wash them well. 
  • Count 2 carrots per person. It sounds like a lot, yet, I never have leftovers at family gatherings. 
STEPS
  1. Cut carrots into sticks.
  2. Melt butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Add carrots, honey, piment d’Espelette or paprika salt and pepper.
  4. Cook carrots until tender, stirring occasionally.
